Vicky’s ex-colleague Natasha Smith’s father in law was very sadly been diagnosed with incurable and life limiting stage 4 cancer at the start of lockdown. Her husband, Dave, is doing a cycle ride with a small team of family members and close friends to cycle 55 miles from London to Brighton in aid of Sarcoma-UK.
The official ride has been postponed due to COVID but they want to complete it so Rick can see them accomplish it (and sadly time is not on his side). They still plan to complete the ride independently on Saturday 3 October 2020 and will do it again on the official event in 2021.
Tunstall Church of England Primary School – £500
The school that Gemma’s children attend has obtained planning permission for two eco-friendly rooms to be built onsite – one will be a library in which music will also be taught, the other will be a wellbeing room to be used for interventions, small group work and personalised learning. The school is heavily focussing on the children’s wellbeing at the moment. Due to the lack of events that the school is able to run in order to raise money for such things, they need as much help as they can to raise money in other ways.
The next Foundation meeting is due to take place on Friday, 13th November.
