The Griffin Law Charitable Foundation was created by our founder to support national and international charities that fit with the Foundation’s ethos and pre-established requirements. Each month, the trustees of the Foundation meet to discuss how to dispense up to £1,000 to good works that may benefit from our funding. As you will see, the trustees donated a little more this month.

James Day is embarking on the South Coast Ultra Challenge, walking 57 kilometres, between Eastbourne and Hove, over the course of a day. He has set a fundraising target of £1,000, which will go directly to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. This amount will provide vital resources for medical treatments, nutritious food, and safe shelter for these animals. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a significant impact and help James surpass his goal.
Donation amount – £250

Alison is known to Donal Blaney via Richard, who is one of Donal’s drivers. Alison’s brother-in-law, Harry, was assaulted on 17th June 2023 while walking home. The incident was witnessed, and the police made an arrest, but charges have not been brought yet as Harry is not well enough to be interviewed by the police. Harry spent 3 weeks in the CCU ward at Kings College Hospital and has now been transferred to the neurological unit where he is undergoing further treatment/assessment. He is being fed via a feeding tube and is likely to be there for the foreseeable future. Harry is a self-employed carpenter and his wife, Louise (Alison’s sister) is only able to work 16 hours a week as she herself suffered a brain aneurysm nearly 30 years ago. Harry is the main income source and is unable to work. The family is under immense financial pressure. Any support for Harry and Louise at this difficult time would be greatly received.
Donation amount – £1,000
