Do you deal with fast-track and multi-track claims below £250,000, and have views on the proposed extension of the fixed costs regime?
As part of the consultation phase for his report on fixed recoverable costs, Lord Justice Jackson is exploring the possibility of a small London workshop session expressly focused on obtaining feedback from litigants who have brought (non-personal injury) claims in the fast-track, or claims of up to about £250,000 in the multi-track. The event will run from 6.00 pm until approximately 7.15 pm, on Tuesday 10 January 2017, followed by drinks.
The aim is for lawyers to attend with one or two clients who would be willing to talk about their experiences.
It will be particularly helpful if attendees have seen claims go through the entire litigation process, to trial.
Jackson LJ hopes to have more clients present than lawyers.
If this would be of interest, please contact Beverley.Barton@thomsonreuters.com, confirming how many clients you would be able to bring.
Spaces for this event will be strictly limited, so please do get in touch as soon as possible if you would like to participate.
